Service Description

Inpatient program provides a 24-hour medically supervised unit for adults ages 19 and up and youth ages 14 to 18 who want to withdraw and stabilize from the physical effects of alcohol and other substances. Services include medical management of withdrawal, substance use disorder information, daily exercise, acupuncture, Take Home Naloxone training, supportive counselling, assessment, and referral to treatment or other services. Youth inpatient services include 30-day stabilization, providing a safe place for youth to get settled and plan next steps once their withdrawal symptoms are under control. Open referral; initial intake by telephone interview requires a CareCard number, doctor's name and number, and current medications. Serves Abbotsford, Agassiz, Boston Bar, Burnaby, Chilliwack, Coquitlam, Delta (including Tsawwassen), Harrison Hot Springs, Hope, Kent, Langley, Maple Ridge, Mission, New Westminster, Pitt Meadows, Port Coquitlam, Port Moody, Surrey, White Rock, and Yarrow. Hours of operation are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday; drop-in hours are 8:30 am to 3:30 pm. Intake hours are 7:30 am to 7 pm daily.
