Service Description

Provides emergency assistance to individuals and families, including food and clothing from 9 am to 12 pm on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday (Friday is for Burnaby residents); call ahead to book an appointment. Offers community breakfast on Saturdays at 10 am. Produce Day serves residents of New Westminster and the Tri-Cities at 1 pm on Wednesdays and residents of Burnaby at 1 pm on Fridays; proof of address and assistance card (issued by Community and Family Services) is required. Bread and snacks are provided at 1 pm daily. The Backpack Program provides backpacks full of school supplies to low-income families in late August; pre-registration is required. Operates the Christmas Bureau for New Westminster and the Tri-Cities. Office hours are 9 am to 3:30 pm Monday to Friday. Serves Burnaby, Coquitlam, New Westminster, Port Coquitlam, and Port Moody.
