Service Description

A four-week, day treatment program for Aboriginal men and women ages 19 and over dealing with substance misuse. Services include assessment, crisis intervention, alcohol and drug education, psychoeducational workshops, traditional counselling, individual and group counselling, life skills training, and recreation therapy. Program is culturally based and includes connection to Elders during and after treatment. Provides transportation to and from the program within 50 km of Sts'ailes. Requires minimum seven days clean and sober time; applicants must have undergone medical detoxification. Funded by the First Nations Health Authority (FNHA) as a National Native Alcohol and Abuse Program (NNADAP).
