Service Description

Offers young women ages 15 to 30 with paid training and work experience opportunities with employers in the tourism industry. Eligible participants are not in school, not receiving Employment Insurance (EI) benefits, and are Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or individuals granted refugee status. Six weeks of paid training includes certifications in Food Safe, First Aid, Serving it Right, and World Host; computer skills training; tourism-related skills; and leadership development. Transportation and daycare supports are available as needed during training. Three months of paid work experience includes employment search assistance and on-the-job coaching and support. Funded by Government of Canada.
