Service Description

Resource centre dedicated to mental health issues. Provides advocacy, navigation of the system, and referrals to community services for individuals and families; printed resources and a lending library; counselling services on a sliding scale; education and training for individuals and families, including Living Life to the Full course and a psychoeducational course on eating disorders; and workplace workshops and training. Offers Headstrong, what the health is going on?, a peer-facilitated, interactive mental health education program for high school students in Delta. An art therapy program is available for children ages six to 12 that helps them explore creativity while nurturing their emotional health. Also offers support groups as follows: for people with or experiencing symptoms of depression or bipolar disorder that meets twice per month, a monthly group for those with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and their family and friends, and a bimonthly group for family and friends supporting someone with a mental health issue. There is also a Gardening for Mental Wellness program. Volunteer opportunities are available. Office hours are 10 am to 3 pm Monday to Thursday.
