Positive Living North (PLN) (aka No kheyoh t'sih'en t'sehena Society)


Agency Description

Provides prevention education and support services to people living with HIV/AIDS/HCV in northern BC, their families, and those at risk. Services include social support, case management, crisis intervention, support team services, one-on-one and group support, support for alcohol and drug issues, grief and loss support, and health information. Hosts Positive Talk meetings for HIV positive members to talk openly in a safe space. Also distributes resources such as snacks, a weekly food hamper, supplements, and bus tickets. Educational outreach to increase understanding of HIV/AIDS/HCV and reduce stigma serves Prince George, Quesnel, McBride, Valemount, Vanderhoof, Fraser Lake, Burns Lake, and Fort St James. Office hours are 9 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday. Nonprofit society, registered charity.
