Agency Description

Promotes community awareness about mental health issues, promotes good mental health, and helps people with mental health issues access proper care and treatment. Services include community outreach, support services to individuals, employment opportunities, housing, and community education. The Vocational Rehabilitation Program offers work and volunteer placements to people with a mental illness. Supported housing is available to low income individuals living with a mental illness, in partnership with Northern Health. Also offers training in crisis intervention, mental health crisis response, mental health first aid, suicide intervention, and mental health in the workplace. Workshops are offered on a fee for service basis. Lending library is available for CMHA members. Office hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday.
