Agency Description

Operates a harm reduction and overdose prevention site in the Downtown Eastside. Staffed by volunteers trained in administering naloxone (Narcan) and CPR. Offers take-home fentanyl test strips so drug users can check their drugs for contamination at home. Also advocates for more sanctioned safe injection sites and a better government response to the overdose crisis. Hours are 8 am to 10 pm, seven days a week.

Also serves as a warming centre overnight when temperatures drop. Provides a safe, warm place where people living on the street can take refuge during extreme weather alerts. Warming centre is activated when the temperature reaches -5°C or below (or it feels like -5°C or below). Hours are 11 pm to 8 am.
